It has a pale yellow color with green hints of youth. The nose is intense and of great finesse on white fruits, hawthorn and citrus fruits. The persistent palate takes the crunch of fruits including peach and white flowers under a fresh and round frame.More
Pale yellow, brilliant with reflexes green emerald. Fresh and intense nose of great complexity that develops as the wine breathes, showing minerals notes together with some cinnamon hints, vanilla and honey, that remarks its barrel ageing with its lees. It is fresh and tender in the mouth with a rounded finish, and its fleshiness and unctuousness incite us to keep enjoying it.More
Streaks of lanolin and petrol lend a savory, mineral intensity to this off-dry wine. Concentrated yellow peach and nectarine flavors penetrate deeply on the palate, but the moderately long finish reflects its earthier, spicier side.More

This Zin exhibits traditional Dry Creek character: big fruit, big spice, and a round mid palate with an extended finish. The nose shines with blackberry, currant, anise and black pepper. The wine shines with jammy, round structure on the front and mid-palate with a soft mouthfeel. The finish incorporates soft tannin and bright acidity to illustrate good aging potential.More

Huge, massive, and full-bodied, with phenomenal flavor extraction, and beautifully integrated tannin and acidity, this flamboyant, exceptionally well-endowed wine continues the succession of titanic wines made under this label.More
Leather and tree bark add spiciness to the deep nose. Blackberry fruit dominates the mouth, but there are red-fruit nuances, some pepper and licorice, and also a good dose of minerals and earth making things interesting. It's big yet refined, and avoids any shrillness.More
Deep purple core with a deep violet meniscus and lightly stained legs. Black currant, black pepper, black cherry, graphite and baking spices on the nose.
Smooth, dry and med+ bodied with med+ alcohol. Additional notes of black plum, cocoa, tobacco leaf and cedar on the palate. Round tannins and slightly spicy, medium length finish.
This wine was lovely. On the nose, it had rich vanilla, ripe dark fruits and hints of chocolate. The wine was very smooth. The fruit in the wine was just right for me..not too sweet. Interestingly, the finish was long and sweet. It is drinking very well now, but I think it still has years to go. (2015)More
Inky purple in color, this wine teems with a mosaic of aromas that forge into the lavish palate: black spice, melted black licorice, black plum jam, black currants, dark cocoa, crushed rocks, coconut, freshly turned earth and cigar box. The wine succeeds on both a hedonistic and intellectual level: balanced, complex and luxuriant, unfolding and evolving with each sip. With Sacrashe tannins as its backbone, our Katherine Hall holds 15+ years of aging potential.More
With its dark garnet hue, this extraordinary blend opens with aromas of raspberry and black cherry interlaced with white pepper and clove. The lush palate is dominated by flavors of cassis, blackberry, toffee, smoked duck and oak, which carry through to a lengthy finish. Pair with venison in huckleberry sauce and pork belly with cherry chutney.More
This tiny production blend surely is made in the modern cult style. Its tannins are soft and sexy, its flavors deep and delicious with milk chocolate, blackberry jam, cassis liqueur and buttery toast. The only thing it lacks is subtlety, but it does deserve its score for sheer Napa power.More
With a deep garnet hue, this wine has a bouquet of ripe cassis, blackberry, clove and chocolate. A rich dense profile flush with boysenberry, black cherry, mocha and caramelized oak is followed by a plush and seamless finish. Pair with garlic and rosemary roasted lamb and grilled ribeye steak.More
With its unique mint, chocolate and rich, cedary currant flavors, Martha's Vineyard Cabernet has a signature flavor profile. It is also distinctive for its exquisite balance and ability to age. Although the wine's flavors are largely a function of the grape and vineyard, Joe Heitz's hand could be found in the winemaking style. He made sure the wine was rich, concentrated and balanced, which ensured that it would age well.More
The astonishing, classic Leonetti aromas of penetrating, ripe black fruits, cedar, coffee and chocolate are there in spades, but the overall impression is that the oak has been pulled back just a bit, or perhaps the fruit is just that much riper. Violets and lead pencil continue the stream of sensuous highlights, as the wine winds into its pungent, densely saturated finish.More
Opaque, with deep ruby-red edges, even the sight of this wine is enticing. Very deep, rich cassis fruit, enmeshed in a smoky, mineral background, dominates the nose. Pure cassis extract is also present on the palate; a sweet entry yields to a firmly tannic, yet generous and amazingly long finish. Fine grained tannins give a serious texture to the wine. A rich, smoky spice character emerges in the aftertaste. A very complete, unctuous wine. Muscular and intensely concentrated, it nevertheless manages to display perfect balance.More
The 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon turned out to be a lovely wine. The color is deep ruby-garnet and in the nose I get a lot of black cherry, cassis, spice, cedar, and hints of sweet toasty French oak. In the mouth the wine is very open and lush, well structured with the elegance and balance we have come to expect from this vineyard. The tannins are quite light and dusty. The finish is long with the ripe fruit flavors lasting several minutes. I particularly like the roundness in the mid-palate. It invites you to take another sip."More
The 1994 is a strikingly thick, compellingly rich wine with the texture of a great Pomerol, despite being made primarily from Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine exhibits a dense purple color, and an incredibly fragrant nose of jammy black fruits, spice, smoke, and loamy, truffle-like scents. In the mouth, it is full-bodied, with thrilling levels of extract and richness, but no sense of heaviness or harshness. This seamless Dominus possesses no hard edges, as its acidity, tannin, and alcohol are beautifully meshed with copious quantities of ripe fruit. This wine offers early drinking, yet has the potential to last for 30+ years.More
The 1970 has always been considered one of the great B.V. Private Reserves. Well-stored bottles continue to taste brilliantly. This wine performed spectacularly in this recent blind tasting (February, 1995), revealing a huge, complex bouquet of overripe, sweet, jammy, pruny fruit, cedar, herbs, spices, and fruitcake. Fat and rich, with unctuously-textured, chewy, expansive flavors, and a full-bodied finish, it was all this great wine can be.More
