This rare red sparkling wine is made from the Marche's indigenous Vernaccia Nera grape, grown in the hills near the Adriatic Sea. At harvest, half the grapes are vinified, and half are left to dry to concentrate and intensify their flavors. The dried grapes are then vinified and added to the original wine. The combined wine then undergoes a third fermentation to produce a sparkling wine of amazing aromatic complexity. Very fresh, sweet with hit of black pepper and cherry.
