The Russian River-based brand headed south to find fruit without smoke issues during the difficult 2020 vintage, and scored quite a wine. Aromas of wild cherry, strawberry, anise and light oak show on the nose. The palate's red plum and currant flavors are elevated by singed herb and a lingering acidity that rolls into a spicy finish.
