93 pts Wine Enthusiast.  Wet stone, lavender, black raspberry and char show on this blend of Syrah and Grenache from a property where the Rhône grapes are thriving. The palate is hearty with cassis, tart with black raspberry, floral with purple buds, and finished on a savory kick of charred meat.

Yellow, with green hues.  Flavors of pineapple, green apples, white peaches, vanilla and coconut.  Big and round mouthfeel but with bright acidity as a backbone.  Pair with wild mushroom risotto, or grilled fish and seafood.

The 2018 Point Conception Malbec is a lovely deep purple colored medium to full bodied red wine. Aged in neutral French oak barrels for 18 months, this wine features rich aromas of dried plums and dark cherries. Flavors of black plum, dates, cherry, blueberry and leather lead to a deliciously balanced and rounded.

Earthy and fruit flavors mesh together in this wine, made entirely from hand-picked, estate-grown grapes. With a nose of red rose, boysenberry, and tobacco, the palate contains black plum, chocolate, vanilla, and rhubarb. A long finish shows spice, tannin, and caramel.

Aromatic with bright raspberries, eucalyptus, and unique minerality. Flavors of tart berries, wild apples, and intense allspice lead to a lingering finish of dark chocolate and spicy Saigon cinnamon

Our second vintage of this wine and it has already become a crowd pleaser. This white wine from the legendary Bien Nacido site is full of crisp floral, pear, and blossom notes, noted with lime-like acidity and chalky minerality. Steely and textured, drinks great now but will age gracefully.

There's wood-spice character to the palate as well, which is packed with sagebrush, dark-red-fruit and nutmeg flavors, with a pinch of cocoa by the finish. Certified Sustainable.

92 pts Wine Enthusiast/ Wine Spectator. Scents of vanilla bean and black cherry on the nose. On the palate, there are hints of licorice, blackberry, and roasted coffee bean. The wine is rich in color and delivers velvety soft tannins on the finish.

Black-raspberry and boysenberry aromas meet with dried fennel, bay leaf and charred oak on the nose of this blend of 56% Tempranillo, 22% Graciano, 11% Carignan and 11% Grenache. Savory flavors of charred wood and grilled beef pair with the riper blueberry-sauce core, which is lifted by thyme and rosemary touches.

Elegant aromas of bananas, apricots and juicy pear puree lead to a bright, fresh and charming palate.

The organic grapes are fermented in large French oak foudres and aged on the lees for 4 months to create a wine with a touch more weight than Albariño and loads of salty minerality.  Big citrus aromas, pear, crushed sea shells, green melons and big intensity on the crisp finish

Gorgeous black fruits are first and foremost, and I love THAT! Very deep with layers upon layers of textural and fruit complexities. Basically, the things you love about drinking fine wine! Black and whiter pepper, vanilla, toasty oak, eucalyptus, Asian spices, and focused dark fruits.

92 pts   Nuances of spice, cedar forest and licorice lead to rich layers of cassis, boysenberry and black cherry which slowly unfold on the palate. The wine is complex with broad, muscular tannins, excellent structure and a long, velvety finish.

Explosive, somewhat feral, highly aromatic nose of cassis, roast coffee, game, smoky oak and chocolate; shows a very strong torrefaction aspect. Lush, rich and deep; has a pliancy and degree of early personality I find in only the very best young California cabernets. Subtle notes of chocolate and tobacco contribute to the wine appeal. Finishes fairly tannic but very long.

A red blended with varietals from the region gives us a series of aromas and fruit flavors that, united in harmony and with aging in oak barrels, generate this table wine with vocation.

93 pts Wine Enthusiast! Bright and energetic aromas of pomegranate, light thyme, marjoram and rose petals show on the nose of this bottling from a vineyard that lies near the Santa Ynez River. Strong herbs show on the palate, from oregano to wild mint, giving depth to the mulberry flavors. It's all framed by persistent, well integrated acidity.

On the nose good fruit extraction, this Bordeaux blend is subtle, unique, and intriguing. Red licorice, cherry cola, red tea, and more cherry fruit surface. White and black pepper as well. Beautifully expressive in its subtlety, I loved the focused cherry fruit with the oak wrapping. Rose petal and flower elements, black and white pepper from the nose . . . long, sweet, and polite is the finish.

Red Blend in the Left Bank tradition, 61% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cab Franc, 15% Merlot and 9% Malbec, red licorice, molasses and ripe cherry (just off the tree) on the nose with velvety black currant and plum flavors.

This is a crisp, clean, and refreshing wine. The acidity is electric which carries you through a wealth of layered stone fruit, apple, citrus, mineral, honey, and tropical fruit flavors. Biodynamically Farmed.

Medium to full bodied, with a solid yet structured tanic balance.  Notes of blackberry, rhubarb, white pepper and leather.  Incredibly food friendly and ready to drink now. Organically  and Biodynamically Produced.

The Sassoferrato Sangiovese aromas jump out of the glass, with juicy red cherry, plum and cranberry fruit. The wine is rich on the palate with moderate tannins and bright acidity that dances with the concentrated fruit. 

This Vermentino is sourced from the coolest section of the Lodi Appellation, Clements Hills. The favorable delta breezes keep the area cool and exceptional for white wine production. Showcases aromas of kiwi, passionfruit and kumquat, citrusy-tang. Medium weight on the palate, apple and pear notes become evident, with mouth watering acidity and a long finish.

The 2018 Bien Nacido Vineyard Pinot Noir is crafted from 40 year old Pommard Clone vines in Block Q at Bien Nacido Vineyards.  This bottling is a unique snapshot of Santa Barbara history, some of the oldest surviving Pinot Noir vines in the county.  This lot was picked in two lots, separating the fruit on the upper and lower portion of the hillside. 

This Friulano from Scarbolo is lean and crunchy with delicate notes of thyme, apricot, Meyer lemon, and ripe gooseberry with a bitter-almond finish. The time it spends sitting on the lees helps add some weight to the palate and the result is a superbly balanced wine!

Casa Scarpa is one of three Barberas from Scarpa. This is classic Asti deep ruby red in colour. A refreshing, zingy Barbera, intense with a complex bouquet of red and dark fruit. It's dry, refreshing and remarkably powerful. Endless food pairing possibilities.

93 pts Wine Spectator/James Suckling. This red features pure cherry aromas and flavors, with accents of rose, strawberry, licorice, iron and tobacco. Silky and balanced, with refined tannins and a long aftertaste. Shows finesse and harmony.

Pronounced notes of white flowers, lemon peel, lime zest, bartlet pears and white peach. Feinherb is an unregulated designation for a wine slightly sweeter than halbtrocken.

This wine is spectacular and currently my personal favorite Grenache bottling thus far at Sculpterra Winery! It offers such a wide array of strawberry, red plum, and pomegranate flavors, followed by sage and clove spice on the finish. It is primarily a fruit driven wine while offering a reasonable abundance of floral notes like jasmine, dark hibiscus, lavender and hints ground pepper. The mouthfeel is hearty, with wild cherry fruit at the core of each sip. This wine shows wonderful fruity aromas but contains terrific firm structure that lends itself to years of aging. This wine is a keeper, and at only 600 cases produced, you better get it now before it’s all gone.

Showcasing stone fruits, grapefruit, honeydew, cantaloupe and ends with fresh and energetic acidiy.  It's easy to pick up white peach and nectarine flavors, yet the mouthfeel is packed with smooth and clean textures.

Concentrated boysenberry syrup, baking spice, gingerbread and French toast aromas show on the nose of this blend of 42% Grenache, 42% Mourvèdre and 16% Syrah. Chalky tannins frame the sip, which offers concentrated blueberry, black cherry and vanilla spice. 

A blend of 60% Cabernet and 40% Syrah, this wine has dominant notes of Black cherry, plum, vanilla, black pepper and semisweet chocolate. A long and intense finish, this wine is one of the most popular at the winery and is sure to please a wide range of palates!

Delicious strawberries, wild berries, cranberries and a hint of sweet spice on the nose. Sophie le Rosé is fresh and vibrant, with a hint of candied fruit on a textured finish.

Dark berry fruit and toasted caramel on the nose, with subtle oak in the background. On the palate it shows Stony Brook’s trademark richness and volume, with tannins that are already integrated and seamless. A voluptuous and moreish Cabernet Sauvignon with great ageing potential, but also the ability to be enjoyed in its youth with the right food.

Ruby red with violet reflections. The olfactory bouquet that reaches the nose is composed of aromas of black currant and blueberries, and nuances of spices and licorice. Fruity aromas also dominate the tasting, which is consistent, fleshy and crunchy. The finish is pleasantly fresh.

93 pts.   This Syrah blend is noteworthy for its explosive aromatics, with thick, rich fresh fruits of blackberry, boysenberry, plum and blueberry mingling with kirsch, chocolate truffles and subtle dried meat notes of Sopressata and iberico ham, along with the hints of fresh herbs and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is rich and full bodied, with waves of red, black and blue fruits, jam, and chocolate coating the mouth before being lifted by ripe tannins and amble, yet round acidity and finishing with hints of meats (bacon, salami), anise and rich dark earth. The wine finishes extraordinarily long and fresh, as acid and mineral notes continue to support the rich fruits for upwards of a minute.

Ripe and tangy black-plum aromas kick of the nose of this bottling. There is a solid cracked rainbow peppercorn kick on the palate, which is otherwise consumed by tangy berry flavors. 

Produced using only the Cortese grape. Straw yellow with greenish higlights in color. Beautiful floral notes on the nose. Dry, with intense fruity notes on the tongue. Pairs well with appetizers, fish, and first courses.

94 pts James Suckling, 92 pts Vinous.  Dark cherries, mulberry compote, soaked blueberries, dark plums and a touch of herbal liqueur. Full body, juicy tannins and acidity and a chewy, spicy finish. Shows such fruitiness and minerality at the same time. Drink in 2020. Made from organically grown grapes.

This is a bland of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Cabernet Franc, aged only in tank. This is immediately attractive, deep, lush and sweetly fruited, it would would have wide appeal. Very fresh, easy going and direct this is the perfect thing to drink this winter with something from the grill.

Never heard of Blaufränkisch rosé before? Then you definitely need to try this bottle. This bright and balanced bottle oozes with flavors of red currants, strawberries, and rose petals. Serve with a variety of foods and get ready to have your palate quenched.Sustainably Farmed.

91 pts Wine Enthusiast. Brisk aromas of black raspberry, light licorice and nutmeg show on the nose of this blend of 46% Grenache, 26% Counoise, 22% Syrah, 4% Cinsaut and 2% Viognier. The palate is loaded with mace and other hard spices that give lift to the blistered plum fruit core flavor. 

Almost impenetrably dark, thanks to the marriage of Petite Sirah and Tannat. Every vintage, these two varieties produce a floral, tangy wine. Dried purple flowers, tar, and hoisin sauce all jump out immediately, and there is a haunting smokiness in the aromatics. Despite the delicateness of the nose, there is no shortage of tannin on the palate, smooth and polished.

90 pts Wine Enthusiast. Big and generous, this full-bodied wine nicely integrates ripe black-cherry and black-plum flavors with light baking-spice accents from oak aging. It is rich but subtle, moderately tannic and well concentrated. And has ZERO sugar!
